More casting call: this one is for the hipster and indie types. Per Bowery Boogie: “Drew Barrymore and Going the Distance will be filming in our neighborhood this week. If that wasn’t bad enough, the casting crew is currently looking for stereotypical “hipster and indie types” as extras. Translation – sceney trendsters. So don’t be surprised if you see tons of skinny jeans, skinnier neckties, and ironic handlebar mustaches.don’t be surprised if you see tons of skinny jeans, skinnier neckties, and ironic handlebar mustaches.”Craig’s list post: “Central Casting is looking to cast extras for the Drew Barrymore film “Going the Distance”. We are looking for hipster and indie types(you know who you are) to work all day on Monday 8/3. We also have a similar scene shooting Wednesday 8/5. When submitting please include a pic and your contact #. Also indicate which days you are available. Must be available with no conflicts on the day that you are submitting for.” Film info: “Barrymore plays an intern at the fictional New York Sentinel in the upcoming movie “Going the Distance.” Her character dreams of being hired by the San Francisco Chronicle so she can be closer to her boyfriend.” (On a sidenote, the New York newspaper where Barrymore interns is fictional, but the SF is real?
